Do you have an order or build sheet for any of your vehicles?

This is the closest thing I have for my 2000 c3500 cclb dually. Dad said this was expensive in 2000.

Notice how they didn’t want to list 454 and fuel economy on the same page🤣

I have the window stickers for my 98 Chevy K1500 that I bought new as well as the one for my 2014 Mustang GT that I also bought new. I still have the one from the 1993 S-10 4x4 that I bought new that I later sold and I have one for one of the 1992 Cavaliers that I own that was in the glove compartment. I don't have a build sheet for any of them. My 1970 Monte Carlo was built in Flint MI and apparently, they didn't put build sheets in cars in that plant and I have never found one for it even though I have searched everywhere for it other than dropping the fuel tank.

That would be amazing if you found it for the Monte Carlo! What engine does it have? In 2025 it feels like a throwback, having to specify which one you want in a build...it'd also be interesting to see the order process documented for 1970, when we didn't have html and web and etc. I don't believe there were faxes back then nor email. So did the dealers mail the orders to GM?

Everyone on the Monte Carlo forums have said that they have not found any build sheets in cars produced at the Flint Mi plant. The entire interior of the car has been out, and I have not found any build sheets in the typical places like the front or back seat or behind the door panels. The only other places people have found them from cars built at other plants has been on top of the gas tank which mine has never been down and I've owned the car since 1987.

My car originally had a 400 small block in it but has had a 396 big block in it since around 1997 or so.

I'm not sure what the process was for a dealer to order one from the factory.

I drool over the '70 Montes...
My old boss remarried; his gal had a beautiful blue one. I asked about it when they got a new car... The engine and/or trans was tired; they had it towed away and got like $100. The car was perfect. Sheesh. As I recall it still had the Ralleye Wheels...
