Do you have a favorite fuel?

In TX I liked QT. Here in Upstate NY, it's whatever is cheapest and convenient between Sunoco, Valero and Citgo, all Top Tier, all offer premium fuels.

Conoco / Philips with its great additives pack. There are 2 stations near me though regionally, the brand is rare.

I dope my "Delta" (regional value priced gas) with it.
One of my top picks as well but it’s hard to find where I live

Is Conoco/ Philips the same as Philips 66? Conoco spun off refining as "Philips 66" years ago - at the production level. At the retail level I really don't know? Perhaps they have their own branding / add pack?

Circle K was part of that mix at some point. I wouldn't buy Circle K if I could avoid it - I try to get top tier unless I am desperate.

My favorite fuel is the cheapest 87 octane I can find.
Lucky for me that is usually Costco and up here in Canada they claim to have 5x the detergents required by Canadian standards so they are likely the best choice for 87 octane (I still believe Shell 93 is better which is why my Corvette gets that)

Chevron is my usual go-to. It's nice that the 87 octane has Techron in it. Every now and then I'll stop by Costco but it's further away and lines are always super long unless it's early in the morning or later in the evening.

I run Costco top tier in both vehicles as much as possible and Mobil when filling up in town. On the road I use Loves just for the convenience when towing.

This is a question I'd be intrigued to find out answers for.

Do you have a favorite fuel? No proper science behind it, purely butt dyno and personal findings from how your car drives?

I've ran 3 different diesel vehicles over the last 8 years or so. I have always found that my favorite diesel is BP Ultimate Diesel. (Here in the UK).

My diesels always seem to run nice and quiet on it. My uncle (that has the same engine with less miles) commented on how quiet mine was. (Totally un-scientific of course).

So, do you have a "Go-To" fuel you often prefer?
Shell gasoline
Redline fuel cleaner every 10k miles

My car gets consistently better mileage with Marathon regular unleaded than with any other brand of Top Tier 87. If there isn't a Marathon nearby when I happen to need fuel, I'll go with Shell.

When driving around northern Ontario, I look for Esso first, then Shell.

Fuels I avoid in Western Michigan, USA: Wesco and Meijer. Yes, Meijer is supposedly Top Tier, but I take about a 2 mpg hit and suffer poor driveability in hot summer weather running Meijer petrol.

I've gotten crummy gas at Can-Op and Husky stations in northern Ontario.
