Do you ever use used oil??

Only once.
One time I had a 1988 VW Golf, because my S2000 engine was "under repair" for a while.
I had just changed the oil in the S2000, Helix Ultra 0W-30.
So after a week settling in the bottle I used the Helix in the Golf.
Probably the best oil that engine ever had.

I recently bought a 2001 buick century beater car with 127000 miles on it. I ran some sea foam in the oil for 400 miles to clean it up a little. I used some amsoil 5w-40 oil from my dodge cummins that only had 7000 miles on it. I made sure no dirt got in it when I dropped the oil. I ran it to work one night, 40 miles round trip and dropped it. Then refilled it for 2 more trips to flush out any crud and then did my oil change.

I really see no problem with doing what I did, the oil I got out of my pickup was more than likely very good yet and if kept clean should not be a problem for that short of a time.

I routinely use it in my 82 lawn tractor- burns 1 quart per hour while running.
