Do iridium spark plugs not last long?

If you've bought NGK S/P out of eBay or some unreputable source, then you more likely bought a fake plug

If you buy iridium plugs from amazon or ebay there's a better than not chance they are counterfeit. Avoid for plugs. Rockauto or real auto shops
Interesting. Yeah I ran down to autozone at 7:45pm after calling to verify they were in stock and had them installed an hour later after eating dinner. Spark plugs sure are expensive these days. Used to be $2.50 ea now they're like $10 ea

Didn't they start making spark plugs designed to make it to 100k? I don't think these iridiums plugs are very good. Had the same issue on the boat that I had on the side by side. Stumbling at lower rpm, nor firing on a certain cylinder. New plugs fixed it

07 Yukon Denali 6.2L w/193k miles.

5+ years ago I bought a set of AC Delco #41-962 spark plugs from amazon. 2.5 yrs and 22k miles ago I installed them gapped at .040".

Recently, I've been getting a P0300 code and the engine has had a misfire at idle. It runs great otherwise.
It doesn't set a CEL. I go look for codes with my scanner because of the rough idle.

I pulled a plug and its gap was .065". I pulled the rest of the plugs and they were all .065". All the electrodes had worn badly in only 22k miles. I believed them to be counterfeits.

Went to my local NAPA for my next spark plugs

I started up the side by side after changing out the spark plugs and it stalled once, then the second time it stayed running. That's how bad it got all of a sudden. Was running fine up until the last two short 10 mile runs down the backroads

I really like the Denso Iridium TT plugs, they are just a hair over $5 per plug on rockauto. I would put them up there with the OEM NGK iridium's in a lot of cars.

In my experience iridium is totally worth it in cars, and you are better off running standard copper in small engines as they all seem to get fouled up in the same amount of time.. Just my opinion.

Depends on the engine and driving habits. I have cars that eat iridium in 15k. Others that can do 60k.
