Do I need to match LSD additive?

This is odd. It also points to a bigger problem. When again is it happening exactly?
1st gear acceleration when turning the wheel. A slight vibration that started after the fluid change. Seems to be a known thing.

Put synthetic Valvoline (has LSD additive) into the rear diff of my Tacoma. I now have the classic chatter while turning at low speed (LSD chatter). If I put extra LSD additive in, can I just use any good brand?
I’ve used CRC for various makes which is not brand specific. Also Valvoline has a limited slip additive if you can find it. What year is your Taco? Here is an excerpt from a 2020 owners manual.

This is from the 2007 owners manual. I was try to find a reference to any posi fluid but no luck. There were references to a locking differential option, and a limited slip option. Also, the recommended diff fluid was slightly different from the 2020 requirement. My vote would be to check the details with Toyota regarding the additive. Good luck and have fun with the Taco!

Add an ounce at a time, not half a bottle used a graduaterd irrigation syringe (you can get them at walmart where the 2 stroke oils are). You can always add more but you can't take out any. Also make sure you are using the right FM there are 2 main types type g and f.You manual showld tell you.
