Do I need new throttle body?

I have 2004 Nissan maxima.

The work we did in past was put new raditor cuz I broke it n I know raditor don't have nothing to do wit this.

2nd we clean throttle body n that plate inside that move up n down in order to do that cold air intake have to come out. That plate inside is that called buffer fly I'm getting confuse?

My problem is to me is doing high idle if so won't is be throwing the code n after putting back cold air intake don't we need to peform acc, peform throttle pedal, n iding reset?

How I know if throttle body bad or not, I don't have CEL on, n after that 4 days later my transmission getting stuck in 5th gear while driving on the road could this be cam crank sensor bank 1 issues making stuck in 5th gear?

they do go bad, but it is also possible that it just needs to be relearned. Either way,it will have to goto the dealer. It is hit or miss if your new throttle body will learn idle correctly if you just bolt on one.

That sounds a little confusion. Chances are if you cleaned the throttle body, it will have to have the idle relearned. You will have to take it a dealer to have them relearn the idle. I have shops and people bring their cars in all the time after cleaning throttle bodys or doing induction cleanings. Many times the idle will bounce, or idle high.

Accelerator Pedal Release Position Learning

Operation Procedure
1. Make sure that the accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 2 seconds.
3. Turn ignition switch “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.
4. Turn ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn ignition switch “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.

Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning

Operation Procedures
1. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch is “ON”.
3. Turn ignition switch is “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.
Make sure that the throttle valve moves during above 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound.


Idle Air Volume Learning (Throttle Position Learning)
It is better to count the time accurately with a clock.

Operation Procedures
1. Perform “Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning”.
2. Perform “Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning”.
3. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
4. Turn ignition switch “OFF” and wait at least 10 seconds.
5. Conform that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ON” and wait 3 seconds.
6. Repeat the following (steps 7a, 7b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds.
7a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD)
7b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
8. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 20 seconds until the Check Engine Light (CEL) stops blinking and turned ON.
9. Fully release the accelerator pedal within 3 seconds after the CEL is ON.
10. Start engine and let it idle.
11. Wait 20 seconds.
12. Rev up the engine two or three times and make sure the idle speed and ignition timing are within the specifications.

Cleaning your TB is a great idea. Do as perfect a job as you can. Make sure all the vacuum lines and piping are tight and leak free afterwards.
You need this right for a base to go from, and it can very well cure your problem.
