LOL. I am the only person in my nghd who washes their own car. I think I am the only "car guy". They do wonder when I hand wash in the winter when temps are in the low 40s.

I know for a fact that I'm the only one in my neighborhood who washes their car at home and also I'm the only one who waxes my car/vehicles, and changes my own oil and minor repairs. No I do not live in the upper class side of town just regular middle class. Go Figger.

Your are correct. I have never seen a neighbor wax a vehicle. I suspect they may have them "detailed".

I think it is the sign of the times. Most people no do not fix anything themselves. they just hire soemone to do it. Cars are just appliances to them. Not me. I grew up on a farm and gained some mechanical skills and use them in some way every day. My children les so as they grew up in a city with limited hands on.
