DIY Lubrication Center

I tend to stray from BITOG to read other writings on the subject of lubrication, oils, greases, etc. Some articles on Machinery Lubrication got me thinking on storage, organization, markings, etc... I assume most DIY garages have their oil stash in qts or jugs on the shelf (or like me on the garage floor) and a couple filters on the shelf. I'd be interested to hear about any Man Caves that are organized more professionally and what tips, techniques, or tricks to keeping stuff organized and clean. I need to improve the cleanliness of my funnels and overall storage area and get a better storage system for different weight oils. Probably first step is to clear out some junk.

Mine's in a bunch of boxes on the garage floor. Don't sweat it, it's all good.

As long as you can get at everything without rearranging, you're set.

There's a million different types of cabinets and shelves available for garages. I have one entire cabinet for car stuff, the other is for the yard tools and landscaping things.

It contains various oils and fluids, tons of detailing supplies, coolant, washer fluid, spare vacuum hose, spare bulbs, touch-up paint, etc.

Just organize it all in a way that makes sense to you. You're the primary user. Buy the cabinet and put your stuff in it. Done!
