I just bought four gallons of distilled water for 2.80 TOTAL.

Weird, I used tap water in mine and had no problem. I only used it for a cup though, just to top it to the full line so I could see it better.

Falcon - that is a very good explanation, much more detailed than I would expect from wikipedia. My reading of it does not back up your pet peeve about hard vs soft in your post of 4/26?
