Dishwasher woes - Simple Fix

BMW, I like the Affresh stuff but they want a fortunate for the tablets if not on sale here so I use Vinegar.

What's the issue with fabric softener in the HE washers? I don't use this but am interested to know.

Bleach and stainless steel parts don't interact all that well. The surface can become etched and dull. It may affect smaller parts adversely.

My understanding is that residue from fabric softeners build up inside the machine and invite mildew.

Thanks, hadn't heard that before... I'll do some reading on it.
