Greetings, long time reader first time poster.

Has anyone heard of a product called Dipetane and if so have you used it? It is a "liquid fuel treatment" manufactured in Ireland. There is a distributor in the USA in New Jersey.

1. One question I have is how different are the fuels from Ireland to USA? If the fuels are somewhat different could the results be different?
2. Also how would the ethanol content effect the results?
3. Temperature of the fuel, Some areas in the USA can be much colder and hotter than Ireland. Would this have any effect on the outcome?

Thanks for any input
Sean

Do you have any Technical Specifications on this product?

Quote
Creates up to 10% more output from all fuel.

More output WHAT? They didn't define it. Energy, HP, compression, hotter burn, fuel mileage improvement???

Here is a fuels verses Energy chart:

I do not have any technical specs only what I can find on the Dipetane website. I tried to link it but maybe it didn't work for me. I was told from an acquaintance in Ireland that he uses it to pass a smog test of some kind and uses it starting about 2 weeks prior to the test. That's all I know about it.

Mola, considering their site is filled with links to generic Viagra and Cialis and has nothing about what it is, aside from claiming it's made of the same components that are already in pump gas, I'm not sure it's even worth the effort. Ironically, it seems the most scientifically defensible products there are the generic Viagra and Cialis.

I used Techron first, then when I couldn't get any more I started using Dipetane.
All I can say with any certainty is that Techron definitely caused my engines to run smoother and got rid of a load of internal carbon.
Dipetane - all I can say about it is that when I fill up with fairly average grade gasoline, the addition of Dipetane seems to help the running quality a bit. Not by much, just a bit.
Otoh, thousands of taxi drivers and others up and down the country swear by it, saying it knocked down their emissions enough to pass the test.
My jury's out on it.

In the absence of any more Techron by the bottle, I'm about to acquire some Archoil AR6900-P in the hope that it's got enough PEA to replicate the results I was getting from Techron.

Redline si-1 and amsoil pi have more PEA then techron, if you are to believe the sds. And at least 3 retailers sell redline Si-1 for 113 a case all day long, which is well under ten bucks a bottle. You use 1/2 a bottle every 1500 miles and you see the results from the redline thread. Use one bottle the first time unless the vehicles is new, then a large investment of 5 dollars per 1500 miles, and those piston tops will be metal. Maybe other chemicals can do this, but why bother? Buy a case and for two years your engine will look new, what could be cheaper and more effective? PEA is in many different products because it works.
