I'm hoping that someone can help my memory (good luck)...I remember reading that some diesel engine manufacturer, or perhaps it was a truck manufacturer, offered an option for a system where oil from the engine was pulled by a metering system which mixed it with the diesel fuel as it was being used (something tells me it was a gallon of used motor oil per 1000 miles driven). Then the system would replenish the used motor oil with clean oil from a supply tank.

Can anyone help with info? Much appreciated by a forgetful old guy!

It was Cummins that offered the Centinel system. The delivery rate was adjustable by the ECM depending on engine speed and load. I'm not positive, however I do not think that the Centinel system is available on 2007 engines due to emission after treatment systems. The system should still be available from Cummins Parts as it was offered as an aftermarket kit for some QSK engines.
