Did Low Temp Cause This?

Weird things happen, and there's only one way to figure it out, and that's by actually testing. Besides, even if our shots in the dark are right, that doesn't accomplish much for Gebo's actual malfunction.

You might be able to get a shop manual that would give you some wiring diagrams. That might give you a start, barring finding someone with the exact same problem and a solution, which is always most helpful!

I also leave my key fob in the car all the time while it is in my garage. Would that cause things to act weird or discharge my battery by chance? Because since I've driven my car a lot these last days, I don't have a problem. Maybe my car is just sitting and battery is running down low.

one other thought. as the motors age, the brushes will get shorter. If they are shrinking a little when cold, and aren't sliding right in their guides, they may not be contacting the armature within. chrysler door lock motors fail in a similar manner. One might be able to do DC motor micro-surgery, but more likely just replace the motor unit if this is the cuase.
