thing is i have no idea how long its been since they visited . probably goneYep you have a rodent problem. Open the hood and spray the engine compartment with peppermint spray.
There was a Seinfeld episode where they tried to get rid of a car with bad BO smell. They left it in a bad area with the keys in it and no one would steal it.Try hard to get rid of them. My dad’s 2000 4x4 Tundra with 150k sitting in barn got a stink in vents. Next owner(brothers brother in law) who picked up for $3k and entire dash torn apart to find it full of acorns. He replaced and cleaned it. He never could get rid of smell and sold it .
That does look like a mouse nest.Went to do my yearly check of my cabin air filter and found this . I suspect that there was a mouse here in the past .
What do you think ?

I don't think they like mint either. A number of pests detest mint for some weird reason.Yeah, mouse problem no doubt. Just stored an 06' Camry under my deck. Will be there a few years. Loaded the engine bay with pre-packaged / vented moth balls, and covered car with a well rated outdoor cover. Stuffed the tailpipe with stainless steel wool too. Read a thread here mice don't like the smell of moth balls. Hoping for the best.
