I have used Techron Fuel cleaner in most of my OPE. Just read that it is not recommended for 2 stroke air cooled engines. Well, I ran some through my blower and weedeater. It did clean out the jets and they run better (I forgot to run them dry last season).

Since they only hold about 6 oz of gas/oil, I don't think it will kill them. Or maybe not?

I think I will use Redline or Amsoil from now on.

Y'all think I killed the bearings/lower end? They have been running okay, but did puff out some white smoke.

Two strokes are alot harder to kill than they get credit for. They are fine, I have ran some real concoctions through my stuff and they havent blown up. I found Sea Foam to be the best for cleaning them out and its safe for two strokes. It is also a excellent fuel preservative.

Yeah, they still run, no pieces flying out, no screeching so far. They are getting fresh gas this weekend, with maybe a little more than 40:1 mix I will go 32:1 for a tankful.

thanks!

Couldn't be more correct. There are many on youtube posting canola oil usage

Thanks folks. I just looked at the label on the Techron, and that is what I saw. No worries according to everyone. I have made worse mistakes before.
