Did I get the right oil?

I haven't found out. I think I never will! At this point I am going with my own paranoia getting the best of me.

I WILL however step into the shop area next time to "check on something" or "ask a question". Just to be safe :-)

It's better if you can find an independent garage to do oil change with your oil+filter. In my area many garages charge $10 labor to do oil and filter change.

If the quart bottles used were dark, when the oil was replaced, they could have been Pennzoil Ultra that they used to fill your sump.

The Pennzoil Ultra Oil comes in a dark gray bottle...Did you notice if they had Pennzoil Ultra advertised as a Synthetic that they use?

You should call them on the phone and ask them what brand of Synthetic that they used on your auto. Ask them to be specific since your records need to list the name of the Synthetic used at their Retail Establishment.
