Hi,
My mechanic always buys motor oils in barrels it says on the that they meet sm and SL ratings. The company is called silogarm (http://www.silogramusa.com). Did anyone ever hear of them? Are the oils "reformulates" and how are the additives in it?

I hadn't head of it, which doesn't mean anything.

I found this in about a minute. Search for Silogram, API lists 5 approved Silogram oils. 4 SM oils and one diesel rated

Code:

I used to call on them back in the 80s when they were known as A. Margolis & Sons. If I recall, Silogram was the brand name back then, but apparently is the company name now. Don't know about their quality these days.

Wow - never saw that! Always thought Silogram was a strange brand name for oil.
