Dexron ULV and Mercon ULV interchangeable?

You should be able to. Valvoline markets their ULV to both makes, the transmissions were co-developed by Ford/GM (although not identical).

I would say there's a really good chance they're interchangeable. As I recall the viscosity of them is nearly identical from the research I did a while ago.

But

If you're under warranty, you might not want to try it lest something goes wrong and you need to warranty it.

I would have thought that by now we'd be seeing more ULV's on the market, but so far, the one that you can get (Valvoline) is crazy expensive, and the few others that have been announced (Phillips Versatrans ULV) so far appear to be either vaporware, or they're not on the retail market.

That's the thread where I compiled a list.

Can I use the Mercon ULV in a GM? Mercon ULV is alot easier to get than Dexron ULV.
I know this doesn't help directly, but in the case of Dexron VI and Mercon LV, as I recall, Castrol has a single fluid that is licensed (not approved, not recommended, not "suitable for"), but licensed by both Ford and GM. That strongly suggests they are the same fluid if Castrol can make one that meets both.

Should be bookmarked to the correct spot. According to him, it is the same spec, so you should be fine. I'd suspected this is the case.
