That TES-295 stuff is just Dexron VI, with the viscosity of Dexron III.

I agree w replacing the filter and getting a pan w a drain plug. I would fill w any brand dex/merc, then do drain and fills (easy now w a drain plug) as often as you want. In my past GMT800 trucks, I used a frankenbrew of dex/merc, dex vi, maxlife and the trans always worked normally. I just did shorter OCIs
