At one time I had that mindset , as I got older helping someone out leaves you with a better feeling inside and also the other person's opinion of you .

Plus, let's face it. Chevys of that age have sort of chiseled good looks—-you have something to work with.

I couldn't agree more, I still think these look handsome after all these years.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

Once upon a time I did dress my tires, I don't care for the look anymore. To each their own.

Nothing, he's my brother!

Wrong answer. Time is money. He should reciprocate some how, by compensating your for your time, or taking you to dinner, or buying you a nice gift, something. Otherwise, people, especially family, will take advantage of your kindness.

Thanks Bubba, but we clearly have different opinions. I don't mine sacrificing my time to help someone else. FYI, he did offer payment, I declined. He is of the same mindset as me, and would lend a helping hand if asked, free of charge of course.

I agree I don't charge people when I help with car repairs. I just like helping out. Love the1500HD. Same as the old 2500 but not 2500HD like mine. Same drivetrain though. 6.0/4L80E. Tons of that drivetrain with over 300,000 hard miles.

Lol, I didn't want to give him the disease. Kidding of course.

He is a wash exterior and clean the interior only kind of guy. He uses car wash shampoo and will vacuum and wipe down the interior often enough to keep it looking clean, but no where near as frequent or as involved as the kind of stuff I do. Basically a cut above the average drive through the car wash kind of guy.
