Defective Fram fuel filter.

I know that we tend to hate fram filters but I had always liked their fuel filters until now. This is a Fram G12 fuel filter from my pickup. The clear plastic has been atacked by the gas and has swelled up which allowed the element to rattle around in the can.

Filter was made in Israel. I have not added anything to the fuel other than gas. Fuel pressure is 4 psi.

Seen many a Duramax towed in with these fuel filters on them....put on an AC/Delco and away they go.

I had another one so I put it on but I'm gonna get a USA made one if it kills me. Probly a metal one so this wont happen again.

I would rather use a crack pipe with a mesh screen...
and for their oil filters, a beer can with a rag in it.

I found a USA made Wix @ Napa today. We had to go through several boxes before we found it. The others were made in Russia.

Checking online I found Mann filters. I'd use those too.
