Debating doing own AC recharge via Low-side port

This one, also, shows how the AC is "Cycling." If that's normal, good. if not, then...

And yes, this car, once intended for sale, seems to be serving a purpose in my life, as eljefino said. Runs really well too, with minimal graemlins.

Cycling with the blower on low is normal, if it does so on high and ambient is above 75*, it's probably a little low on refrigerant...

Mine does meet that criterion, but is the consensus here to not go buying the can with gauge and nozzle and go messing it up?

I'd bump it a little but then I have access to gauges and a 30Lb jug of R-134...

I would not charge via a can with a cheap gauge on it.

Real diagnostics require a low and high side gauge. And even then it's a [censored] shoot. R134a is more picky than R12 was. Best bet is to evac and fill by weight.

What I would do though, is just run it. It's a 95 still blowing cold. Be happy.
