Okay. They don’t purchase anything else only bulk 5W30
Did you see where the level is on the dip stick? They don’t purchase anything else only bulk 5W30
I would run with 7 quarts
Those are words on a piece of paper, not "damage". What's the level on the dipstick? Here’s the damage report.
Not in a shop. Thats a ripoff. Two of our local Subaru shops has been doing this for years. One time in for other service I requested an OC as it was going on the lift. Later that day when cashing out the writer said the tech reported that the oil drain plug was not tight- scolding me I suppose. I said the last OC was done buy another certified Subaru Dealer in Manchester. Crickets.story for the 7 qts is they said the vehicle took 6.1 qts so they round up to the next full qt. gotta make money lights and lifts to keep running.
Tire rotation is always a part of the OC packages up here.Tire rotation is about double what I pay at my Subaru dealer......
Actually being along the coast. We dont have to worry about sub zero temperatures or ever sub 20s-fI’m not afraid of the 5W30 as I told dad the 7 QTs is the concern I believe the telluride has the 7 QTs sump. This service was performed by ours truly Myrtle Beach Kia home of the $4,000 inflation package. I mean at least they justify for the $4000… pin-striping, Kia logo mats not vehicle fit, and nitrogen filled tires. Lol
That’s what you get for $4,000.

It’s a Kia sportage not a tellurideWell, you bought the "every soccer mom must have telluride" for $4K market adjustment, then you paid $183 for a(wallet flush)oil change and tire rotation.
Did you actually check the oil? Possibly they did not change it at all - I have had that happen. May have never rotated the tires either.
The only positive is they did in fact pour 5W-30 in the sump. Time for a new dealer.
Darn. Your parents paid $4K adder for a sportage. I really do feel bad for them. There absolutely being taken advantage of.It’s a Kia sportage not a telluride
I can’t tell my old man he’s got this car crazed leasing obsession. Likes options and tech junk.Darn. Your parents paid $4K adder for a sportage. I really do feel bad for them. There absolutely being taken advantage of.
No it is a naturally aspirated 2.5 4cyl.Not sure if it's a Hybrid or the gas only, but for the Hybrid's engine (1.6 SmartStream) 5w30 is officially approved for markets in North Africa and the Middle East, as long as the other certifications are followed. Which means that it's simply the right oil, and the 0w20 is an mpg thing.
Now, what I'm curious about, if it's the 1.6, does it have the annoying engine noise between 3000 and 4000rpm, which many - including me - complain about, and which occurs only when the car is in motion, not when revved in Neutral.
