Go for it, as long as you don't have a problem with the dealer trying to up sell you other services. Just be sure everything was done right.
If you just don't have the taste for doing it yourself and the dealership will do it for a price you're happy with then go that route. That's what works for you. Remember to check the level when you get home.

It's not a bad thing to do UNTIL you have some oil change jockey strip the threads on the oil pan or bolt, or over tighten the oil filter and it makes it nearly impossible for the next person to remove.
I'm not all that demanding a customer, but honestly it is nearly impossible to get any kind of competent reasonable service today.

I'd rather find an independent mechanic who will work on my car everytime since the twenty different people at the dealership won't care what happens after it leaves their hands.
Your the perfect candidate for a Fumoto drain valve.

I'm finding that this applies to pretty much everything. I spent an hour in my bank branch trying to get an unauthorized ACH debit reversed.

Until I can't crawl under my cars......I'll never let anybody else change my oil. I figure by then I won't know the difference anyway.

Nothing wrong with them doing it for you. Just take it back to the same dealer each time. They will do a good job most of the time. They also document it for you. And if they screw something up, they will have to fix it as they were the last folks to work on the vehicle. Most dealerships are not out to mess up a simple oil change. Just check behind them and you will be fine with their work. At least where I am the Jeep dealer seems to do just fine.

Yep 100% agree. Getting good service these days on almost any kind of work that requires a brain and being careful is a [censored]-shoot at best.

I agree with the OP that DIY conventional oil changes aren't worth the expense. That is a great reason to go to the dealer.
Synthetic oil changes often cost much more, and those may be worth DIYing. Walmart does them at a price that isn't too high, according to my dad.

This. The cars with big sumps can have change prices that are out of line too. My dealer has a waiting room with a big window so you can see the work being done. There was a time when I thought nothing of running the car up on some Rhino Ramps and yanking on the drain plug. I'm more paranoid now, and for me, an oil change is now a once a year proposition.

I don't do mine for the price, I do it for the peace of mind of knowing it was done right.
Ford dealer always did a great job with oil changes and rotations.
Motorcraft oil and filters, can't go wrong.
Same deal with Toyota dealer.
Why would you mess with bringing in your own oil and filters? The toyota oil is excellent, so is the motorcraft.
