Dayco or Goodyear belts???

Some of the Jeep belts are made by Conti-tech, IIRC. Not suprisingly, many Benz cars leave the factory with one.
Most of the GM belts I have seen were built by Dayco.
Fords, I don't know.
Many Japanese cars have Mitsuboshi belts that last a long time, but I never saw a store with them.
Some Korean cars use a Bando brand belt that lasts a long time.

I've been using the Gatorbacks for a long time on everything that has a s-belt.
Never a squeal.
Never chirp.
Never had a bad one.

I've had a couple that stretched very quickly where the tensioner indicator was at the last 1/4 mark but stayed there forever.

I just looked at the alternator belt on my 99 Camry. It's original and says Toyota/Goodyear. The original on my 2000 Avalon says Toyota/Dayco!
