As for the classic proletarians, well, they've disappeared a long time ago.

Look for their reemergence in a neo-classical sense.

Wouldn't "in a pre-apocalyptic sense" be more fitting? It's only a few years to 11:11, 12.21.2012!

Well, I can assure you that there is also such a thing as mansion trash.

I would qualify for sending some upscale neighborhoods into decline. Thankfully, I'm kept securely contained in mediocrity for the good of others. It really is for the best..

I bought "the worst house in the best street", and am working at keeping it that way.

You, sir, is a man of admirable qualities.

By the way, I didn't mean to imply that living in a trailer makes anybody necessarily trailer trash.

But it is a mighty good start.

The "bedbuggers," the truckers doing the moving and storage thing, hsd their share of horror stories regarding their job.

One heard frequently was about the rich folks with their BIG houses and a LOT of possessions that was infested with various vermin. Fleas, lice, etc.

With the really rich folks (or where a business was paying for the move as with CEOs, etc) the entire semi-trailer was reserved for the one move. When done, when the infestation was present, once the trailer was emptied an exterminator was needed to destroy the critters left behind to ensure they were not transferred to future loads.

To hear those guys describe some of the worst infestations made me ponder how far removed from the caves some of us are.

Creepy crawler critter whose primary urges are sucking blood and reproducing. Ewwwwwww!!!!

Even allowing some wiggle room for those exagerating events so as to make the tale more entertaining...... Ewwwwww!!!!

We shopped the big 3 -- since they are all within 4 mi of our home. Some items were cheaper at Wallmart, Kmart, and Target. Kmart for example had Fiskar scissors for $1. Otherwise, I rarely step foot in that store.

The intellectual depth of this thread is increasing with each additional post.

I am so.... sniff... proud.
