Dash Cam hard wiring question

Well, dash cam is in. Turns out the "battery" labeled wire did need to be connected for the camera to work. Using just the "accessory" wire and the ground did nothing even with the car running. Since I did not want to enable Parking mode, I left it off in the dashcam settings and I adjusted the in-line switch to 12.4 volts just in case.
The one thing that I did have concern about was the fuse taps themselves. Even fully inserted, they did not really have a snug fit. A fuse when seated takes a good tug to remove it from the fuse block. The taps just take a little tug. I actually used electrical tape on the taps to make sure they stay in place. So far so good. Thanks to all who gave some advice and helpful hints on this thread!
