In a statement released to the magazine, Judd, 44, and Franchitti, 39, say the decision to end the marriage was mutual. The statement continues: "We'll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed."
The couple married in a private ceremony in Scotland in 2001 after a two-year engagement. Judd's sister, Wynonna Judd, was the maid of honor, while Franchiti's brother Mario was the best man.
