Cybertruck invasion

I dont think this invasion will make it much past the beach.

They'll sell some, but wont upset the half ton market.
They're only really upsetting the $100k market. I was surprised it was that accepted in the price range, but apparently it has outsold any vehicle in that range. Interesting.

No it hasn't. It has not outsold pickup trucks yeah, maybe that price range but it's not the same product.
I would have to know how many pick up trucks sell at 100k Vs cyber truck. It certainly outsells EV pickups but two different markets for different uses.

Just found this...
"Tesla delivered 5,175 Cybertrucks in July, compared to a combined 5,546 registrations of every non-Tesla electric truck, which includes the Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian R1T, Chevy Silverado EV, and Hummer EV. (Tesla doesn’t break out Cybertruck numbers in its delivery reports, so S&P is using registration numbers to draw these conclusions.)"

That's precisely what I said. It's not doing numbers with trucks in general, just the price point regardless if it was a truck or not.

I don't get it. I could think of nearly any other $100k vehicle I would want over the Cybertruck. Both of my cars together OTD weren't enough to buy a Cybertruck.

Tons here now. I posted the picture of the white one but the coolest was a red one. Easy to paint

Think some I have seen were wrapped - the color was dull …
Wrapping is very popular. As much as I like stainless steel it just doesn't look good on this vehicle. To be honest not much looks good about it.

Tied with the Pontiac Aztec for ugliest vehicle .
I think the cool factor is a bit higher on the Cybertruck. I think the bulges of the Astek make it worse. You know what, it's hard to pick what's actually worse. Neither are remotely close to good.

They're a relatively common sighting in the NYC metro area. I have seen a number of trucks loaded up with them in the vicinity of a railyard to truck transfer point.

The last time l was scrolling through tik tok, it seemed that every third video in my feed was bashing this vehicle. Are they really as bad as the naysayers report on TikTok? Or are the videos perhaps click bait?
