Decided to detail the CX-5 today before heading out to OCS. Gonna be parking it for three months while I'm gone so I needed to do a little prep for the sit. Not all of the products I used would be what I normally use and I haven't purchased a Nanoskin yet. This was the first time I applied a conventional wax also. I've always used Meg's Quik Wax but wanted to use something more durable with Quik Wax in between. I chose Turtle Wax Ice Paste Wax, which is actually a sealant but that's another matter. I applied it in direct sunlight and went on without a glitch, taking off though was challenging at times. It definitely is better in shade and it is definitely a case of 'less is more'. Mothers Carnuba Wash and Wax, Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover, Ice Paste Wax, Meg's Ultimate Quik Wax (for when the paste wax was tough to pull off), Meg's Ultimate Black (great stuff), ArmorAll Extreme Wheel and Tire Cleaner (only for the wheels), Meg's Quik Interior Detailer, ArmorAll Leather Care.
