While looking for cv joint boots to put on my expedition as a matter of preventive maintenance while the axles are out,i was disappointed with the selection.

Dorman brand, trw, and the others i found all use neoprene for the boots.

I found this company Rockford Constant Velocity making what they call Duraboot. They are a high tech thermoplastic mix compound.
I called and asked if they were made in the U.S.A and he said well the machine is about 100ft away making them.He said they have some in use for 21 years and going strong.
The catalog is not complete,i had to call and he looked it up and sure enough he had the specs of the ones i need and said a couple of days.
$16 for the inners and $26 for the outers.

Nice to find a quality part made here and get the guy making it on the phone.

Hope there is no problem posting the link but i think some folks will find this helpful
