This filter is from my 2018 Duramax - 4500 miles on this filter. Much less debris in the filter compared to the first oil change, but still some metal flakes. When I bought the replacement filter last night, I compared the Mobil 1 303A to the AC Delco PF2232 - they appear to me to be the identical filter. Installed the Delco PF2232 this time.

Looks like a nitrile adbv- I am surprised to see that on a M1 filter. I wonder if this might be counterfeit ? Also post the date code if you still have it.

This filter was purchased at my local WalMart and it looks exactly like the AC Delco, exactly, even down to the count and location of the spot welds on top of the cap. I find it high improbable that it's a counterfeit.

When Fram was part of Champ Labs the rep who visits here said the M1 filters have their own unique media blend. I am guessing Delco also orders their own media to their specs, but no way to verify. I think usually manufacturers do spec everything according to their own engineering dept.

I run either pf2232 or xg9100, from what ive seen on my dmax either is good. I do normally run the XG though unless I cant get one at my walmart.
