i know i know, youll say "that moe is crazier than ever" but i find that curb feelers is something i relay need and use. so my new tires dont get damaged. how many other cats use curb feelers? like i have said before i live in the past.

The only curb feelers I have are the ultra long tire valve stems I used when I replaced my tires, lol.

those things always looked SO ridiculous; what do they do when you hit the curb? do they make such a noise you know you're too close?
IMO, judging distance from the curb is like parallel parking, just something every guy just 'knows' how to do.

Some cars have horrible sight lines to 5 and 7 o'clock. All bubbly and with no straight edge to judge when backing.

Others are super easy.

My friend loved them. Had them on all 4 corners of his 1967 AMC Ambassador...

they are made to flex when they hit the curb and make a scraping noise. realy curb feelers go back to the 40s-50s. and i have them on all 4 corners so it looks even

That sparked a humorous recollection:

When I was a very young man, I put a set of curb feelers on my mother's car... She was not amused.

(I almost forgot about that one.)

P.S. It's OK to live in the past, I'm not always present myself.

Only use them with static strips and the wing style tv antenna on the trunk.

Oh! and a bumper pole. Make sure to mount it on the side of the car that is away from the curb.

I remember curb feelers well. They look as dumb now as they did "back then".

If someone is such a poor judge of distance that they can't parallel park (or pull up to a curb) without assistance then they have no business driving a vehicle.
