Rotated my Triple Treads (40k) and noticed both fronts started to develop a slight cupping toward the outside edge. It was evenly spaced and the same on both tires. I'm thinking the original struts @140k need replacing. Anything else to look for?

Too much toe out will cause this but 140k on struts would steer me in that direction.

Usually the cupping would be on the inside edge as the strut bounce squish the leading edge of the inside tread block with down force.

It being the outside edge tells me the toe may be too far outward as the camber geometry when turning leans on the outside tire shoulder.

I got cupped and noisy tires from bad alignment. I would check that first as it is free to check. When noise in my tires started I did a lot a google searches that led me in wrong directions and i wasted the tires in the process (the abnormal wear was irreversible and I had directional tires). The lesson I learned: Simple things first.

Sorry on the details omission. '02 Avalon
Tire rotation and balance has been every 7.5k but the quality/accuracy of the balance is a question mark. The drawback to Sam's/Costco. Those TTs got really loud after 25k miles. Good performance especially in the precip and a smooth ride, but deafening.
I'm scheduled at the frame shop Friday. Bounce test, align check etc. I thought about the springs too. The evenness of the wear is what is puzzling me. Both tires and almost exactly the same wear patterns.

Would "Tires & Wheels" have been the right choice? I came here deliberately thinking suspension. dunno.
I'll certainly go to that forum for the replacement tires.
Thanks for all the responses.

Even my lifetime guarantee Bilstein struts wore out in 100k. Yours are dead. Time for new struts & shocks on all four corners. Also check closely for any other worn suspension components.
