Have any of you ever used one of these filters?

I was looking for an extra-large oil filter for my VW 1.8T. A picture of this Crosland filter is shown on Advance Auto Parts' website as a cross-reference to a Purolator L40316.

The Crosland filter is actually listed as a Beck-Arnley, but the picture shows a Crosland. To see the picture for yourself, search Advance Auto's site for an oil filter for a 1985 Volvo 760GLE with the 2.4L Turbo Diesel (don't ask)

Any information that you guys can provide on this brand of filter would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I've used Crosland filters many times on my AJ6 and V12 engine Jaguars, and have never had an issue with them.

Never bothered to cut one open - they are built very robust and wasn't much interested in taking the time to open one up.

The Croslands I have in my inventory are subs for Jaguar EBC9658 and were all made in Nottingham, England.

"Win,

Where did you buy the Crosland filters?"

XK's Unlimited - a Jaguar/English car specialty shop.

Thanks for the info, guys.
