Using a honeywell 60 or 65 pint going on 8 years. Knock on wood haven't had any problems. Put a remote humidistat and a remote temp and rh combo thermometer in living area. Keep rh below 50% above can grow mold my set point 45%.
Crawlspace dehumidifier - horizontal form factor

I am still wondering if the crawlspace dehumidifier can be low on refrigerant (E4 error code) when it's run for 5 days, compressor on continuously and keeping the RH at 41%.
Curious why you run it so low on humidity? I have a second home in Ocean View and shoot for low 50’s. I have a Aprilaire also with the remote humidistat.
Also the Aprilaires have a 5 year warranty.
I am thinking if it's 40% at the dehumidifier its probably a a little higher in at areas the farthest away from the dehumidifier. Probably a 1500 SQ ft crawl space.
I am thinking about some fans to move air around in the crawl space.
I have bought the Aprilaire dehumidifier as new or like new in a private sale. For a good price. Aprilaire refuses to honor the warranty in that scenario. I just bought a Aprilaire 100 ppd dehumidifier for $800. Half of the Amazon price. It's in a box with the straps around the box. So sure looks never opened.
