Craiglist fraud? 2014 Impreza for $8000?

This couldn't possibly be true, Isn't the Impreza a much more expensive car, to the tune of $30,000, not $8000? Not even talking about the WRX model.

It's base everything, so it's undesirable to most but it's probably not a scam. It's probably just a motivated seller. If it was a scam they wouldn't have posted the blue book link
 
It appears to be a base model with a manual. So prob 18k new. The price does seem low.

Usually the fraudsters don't include a phone number, so at least the ad passed that test.

You seriously have to ask if that's a fraud?
It's a $12,000 or $13,000 car, and someone is selling it for $8,500 with brand new "4X4" tires. No VIN, no title information, just a poorly worded ad and two pictures that could have been scraped from anywhere. Along with that the price is negotiable, and "trade ok".
If it's not a fraud, then it's a salvage title.

As far as warranty, isn't it only 3 years? So it must be almost up.
 
We paid something on the order of $19k for my daughter's new 2015 Impreza with no options beyond an auto transmission...I'm actually not sure of the exact price because the wife took care of the purchase while I was out of town.
It's a little strange that it has new tires at only 17k, and that price for that mileage seems too good to be true. I say something bad happened to it and a smart buyer would figure out exactly what that was.
Subies are in such demand around here that the best deal we could find for a used Impreza was $11k for one that was a few years old with 70kmiles and some very noticeable body damage...the salesman knocked it down from $12k immediately after we were astute enough to notice a caved in fender. Anything that looked more promising would be gone within hours, drove about 45 minutes to look at one and I think we saw the buyers driving it off the lot when we were pulling in.
