Crafty wording on Dexron VI bottles

Sorry to be picky but you might want to know that the GM oxidation test is now termed the GMOT. It's a 4L60E transmission driven by an electric motor at a transmission temperature of 163C (I don't know where that came from!).
The details are in the GM spec 10060 and there is some information on the SWRI website. However, you are correct and if you take a look at the spec the test is longer (as in IIIG) but the limits are even tighter.

Vendors change regularly. Sometimes multiple vendors are used to keep up with demand. Not sure how many GM plants there are, but I wouldn't be surprised if different suppliers exist for different plants or areas. I also wouldn't be surprised if quarts, barrels, jugs...have different suppliers.
Dexron VI has been spec'd and licensed. Now its time for the oil companies to compete for those OEM contracts. We all know that those domestic automakers need all the help they can get in lowering costs!

Petro Canada makes all the factory fill and had the first license. But they probably don't have enough capacity because we got sevral cases today from XOM. Same package black bottle w/blue label. We couldn't get the usual 30gal drum yet.
I think I'll just get the 55gal drum and mount it in the bed of my truck...run the cooler lines in there and use it for a giant oil cooler.....what do you think the OCI would be for that? LOL!
