Craftsman Socket Set - Warranty

You can always custom build some handles on the side...drill through the case and use a couple of bolts to hold a leather strap on there. My brother has a case that's been that way for almost 10 years and is holding up fine.

It's been a few years ago, but at one time I did a bulk USPS mailing that involved several hundred pieces of mail per month. Now maybe things have changed with them, especially when you consider the financial dire straits that they are in, but the post office used to give me large rubber bands, hundreds at at a time, for free. Call me frugal or call me a tightwad, but that's how I would cure the latch problem.
 
I have a PowerCraft 1/4" socket set where the metal lock broke on the metal case. I am still looking for a place to bring it into and ask if they will replace it under warranty. (Yes I do know what store sold them, I am over 50).
