i want to stock up on some for my weapons light and other things that use them. So many options on Amazon and Ebay. i see some surefire on ebay , but not sure they are real or not.
Depends on the quality you want and whether you want a specific brand. I'd avoid eBay and Amazon if you want to avoid total fake / knock off. A specialty store with reputation for fresh inventories would be my go to.
Why do you need to stock up so many at once? How long do you keep them for?
IMHO not likely to go away anytime soon. I bite the bullet and purchase a 12 pack of SureFire 123A's a year. I keep the unused portion in the freezer for storage.

i have a few weapons lights and flashlight that uses 123 batts. the pricing for them seems all over the place, even with surefire. this makes me think if they are genuine
It was really weird, but I used to buy them from Fry's Electronics really cheap. I'd get the Sanyo brand, which they had in the computer section (as motherboard battery backups) while the other brands were generally in the battery section. These used to be really common in compact 35mm cameras. Of course the Sanyo brand is defunct.
They also last nearly forever. I think it's generally advertised as a 5-10 year shelf life, but they'll have usable power way longer than that, especially if it's a low drain application.
I've had good luck with one supplier on Amazon. They operate out of Brooklyn. I've mostly bought button cells but also some hard to find (or generally very pricey) alkaline like A27. I'm rather surprised they're so cheap now. Way back when, these were maybe $6 each at most stores. I'd stick with the name brands like Panasonic or Energizer.
