2016.
Fram was not making the CQ filters in 2006, Wix was.

I was using my SpeedPerks codes to clean out the old Carquest Blue filters for the vehicles in my sig, I ran all of them out of the 85372 (PH2 equivalents). They're all Purolator now.

I believe the Carquest "blue" are the better filter but not 100% certain
Yes, the CQ Blue is better than the Red.
When Wix made them, the CQ Blue was a Wix, and the CQ Red was a Pro-Tec/Proselect.
When Fram made them, the CQ Blue was very close if not identical to M1, and the Fram CQ Red was a pre-Ecore Champ, like the AC Dleco Classic.
Purolator makes them now. Puro CQ Blues are probably the same as P1, and the Reds are most likely a reboxed Classic.
