Costco Member Privileges and Conditions

some times you gotta laugh at people.....for the record you do not need a costco card to use the eye glass department or the pharmacy...sometimes when I want to be a real rebel I will just walk in and say I don't have a card and going to the pharmacy....then I go buy a rotisserie chicken the baastads can't keep me down....

as opposed to the unfrozen bags of ice? i think they want you to scan your card to record attendance, those scanners would not be by the exit
One reason they scan your card is to know how many people are in the store so they can adjust the number of cashiers needed. Another reason is there was a lot of shopping being done by people using someone else's card. They make their money on membership fees. The stores just support themselves.

I flat-out love Costco. Crowds? Yep, that's why I get there when they open. Riffraf? Yep, they let me in.
I am about to order rubber for the M3P. Hard to beat, but I do wish they had alignment racks...
Costco house and car insurance has been outstanding. Big fat TVs. Levis are $30. Michelin wipers are 2 for 1 on sale.

The annual Citi Costco card rebate rocks! My Lexus dealership lets me use it for $5,000 on car purchases.

$1.50 hot dog for the win!
Don't forget the 4.99 roasted chickens.

How do you buy the chicken without a card??

I love Costco but those "Michelin" (rebadged Trico) wipers are trash. I guess you could take them in and warranty them every few months but that gets tiresome IMO.

Who makes Duralast at AZ. I get a couple years from them and that’s good nuff 🤔

oh I have a card...I just don't scan in when I get there...trying to be a real rebel screw their whole system up......fighting the man you know....
Oh, yeah, when I think about sticking it to the man or fighting the man, the first thing that comes to mind -

Freely giving the man my money in the form of an annual membership fee. And then giving him more money by shopping there.

I bet they really feel the pain of your rebellion. 🙄

I wish more stores checked receipts. I’d buy membership to more stores if they offered it, keeps the theft down and potentially lowers prices.

Sadly - I only see Walmart receipt checkers around Christmas
Walmarts have them year-round here in Virginia. I don't see any problem with loss prevention efforts like this to keep from having to raise prices.

BJ's checks receipts too, but I don't have to show my card to enter the store. The entrance and exit are the same set of doors. Was a member of Costco back when it was Price Club and it sounds as though it has gone downhill with control.

I thought my humor was obvious but apparently I was oblivious instead lol...

We went for decades with none - population is changing
