In Princeton you can't buy a TOWN HOME for under $320,000.

Florida touts that they have no State income tax. Well, let me tell you they get it other ways

Cell phone taxes, property and gasoline taxes. Insurance in Forida is about twice what it is in Ohio, homeowners and vehicle.

A "town house" or "town home" is a living unit with a separate entrance from the outside in a large building with many of these units connected in a row. It is usually situated in a community of such homes. There is usuaslly a monthly fee for maintenance of common grounds and facilities.

As one who was born in and grew disgusted with New Jersey, its crowded conditions, poor environment, high costs and corrupt atmosphere, the only practical solution I can propose is to get yourself out of there.

New York has to be the most expensive state in the country. They tax everything they can think of. Oh yea I forgot NY is a "Blue state". Go figure.

In Manassas, Virginia you can't buy a TOWN HOME in a DECENT NEIGHBORHOOD (defined as one where no MS-13 shootings have happened) for under $300,000

EDIT: $250,000 for one in the local barrio.

shiiteshack in socal now > $500,000!!

I take that back. A REALLY OLD sh#tshack > $500,000!

My nape of the neck of the woods used to be affordable....too. Crappy condoms are pushing $200K.

>I hate to say it..but people in N.J. are getting what they seem to want....The most crooked politicians in the country.

I resent that remark. Everyone knows that Louisiana has the most crooked politicians in the country! We've worked very hard for that distinction, thank you, so you NJ folks need to stop cuttin' in on our action.

Louisiana: Home of "Louisiana Politics."

Yep, Town Homes. I don't live in Princeton, but even where I live in S. Jersey (The nice part of the state

) your looking at $220,000.

A shack in Princeton = $500,000. Princeton is also one of the wealthiest towns in the state/East coast.

NJ politics is really bad. S.Jersey is pretty conservative. I'm not a fan of N.Jersey at all. Mainly the NY area.

Yeah their home prices are insane. I couldn't believe some of the prices after watching the "moving up" show on TLC. They don't usually say city but it's east coast. They had 3br home for $500k!!! and it wasn't that nice. Or very new! How do people afford to live there??????? 100yr mortgages?

That's may be not all bad. Around here the economy seems to be tanking with companies moving off-shore, etc. I'm expecting the bottom to fall out of the real-estate market. Houses and cars for sale in great abundance. At least your economy must be fairly good.
