We have a 12.5 kW Onan/Cummins generator we use as a diesel exhaust source for studies. It has a 1.5L, 3 cylinder Isuzu diesel engine. It floats between several organizations, so maintenance is often spotty. It's here now, and I'm sure the coolant hasn't been changed in 10 years. It's got standard green as far as I know. The manual does not call for anything special, just ethylene glycol coolant.

I picked up a gallon Peak Lifetime Global thinking it may be 10 or more years before this gets done again. It will be given a through flush with DI water, so changing types is not an issue.

Is the Peak Global a good choice or should I pick up something else?

We had an Onan diesel genset at my workplace that hadn't had the green coolant changed in quite likely 15-20 years. It actually *never* had the coolant changed before it was replaced.

If you're changing the coolant you might want to make sure you get a new coolant filter if it is so equipped. If it's been that long for the coolant, how long has it been for the fuel/air/oil filters?

I'm sure the coolant is original. The manuals are dated 07-01, so about 10 years.

The other filters have been changed along the way. It usually only gets a few tens of hours per study, so the oil/filter is usually gets changed at
