Coolant for civic?

Nah, don't return it, Type 2 has always been a premix. For the price you got it, and now that you've flushed the system, and filled with Type 2, as I said, check the concentration with a AF tester. If not up to the concentration, do radiator drain and fills until you reach it. Yes, some waste but you've come this far already.

fwiw, I had to do similar when stealer used original green with a head gasket job.

And, from now on, just do a radiator drain fills more frequently with the Type2.

If you got Type2 for $10/gal, even though it's a premix, I sure wouldn't trade it for a universal coolant with 2eha.

Yeah, sayjac I used the premix and distilled water in my 03' civic already. I did the way the manual tells you to and burped the system, so probably use the manual for the g.f.'s car. Little skeptical to use the Super Tech coolant myself. I did test the new coolant and it is in the correct protection range.

thanks for the info sayjac and probably will get a few more gallons of the HONDA GENUINE coolant that is premixed for the g.f. 98' civic

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm a little confused. OP, are ypu saying you flushed with Distilled and then added ONLY the Honda pre-mix?

Or, did you add Honda pre-mix AND distilled?

I'm reading on my Blackberry, so maybe I missed something obvious. Thanks!
