Coolant flush using a 50/50 pre-mix

I emailed Amsoil Technical Services one more time about Amsoil's EG coolants, asking about their compatability with HOAT coolant, specifically for Ford and Chrysler products. Here is the response:

Quote:
All of our Coolants use HOAT additive technology, therefore meet Ford, Chrysler and other vehicle recommendations. They can be mixed with other HOAT Coolants at any mix ratio and for any period of time.

So it appears I could use the ANTPC 50/50 mix for top-offs even with HOAT coolant in use. I might give that a try..

The noat formula makes many of the same claims

Well, I have been using the Peak Global Final Charge in my heavy commercial diesels, ag tractors, GM pickups, everything that uses coolant, for many years. It is a top flight product. It meets the Technology and Maintenance Council standards, which are the de facto standards for commercial fleet operations. Meets Cat EC-1, Detroit, Cummins, etc. As far as cost, picked up a couple of gallons at Love's truck stop recently. Roughly $12 a gallon for 50/50. On my commercial trucks, I run it for about 500,000 miles then drain and fill. I talked with one of their product engineers some time ago and he was quite clear than it meets any auto / pickup diesel or gasoline engine requirement, and most definitely the GM coolant requirements, which is what I was asking about. I always use the OAT non-nitrate formula. No nitrates, phosphates, silicates, etc. Great wet sleeve protection from cavitation, for those with wet sleeve motors.

Most any major truck stop carries the stuff. Love's and Pilot/Flying J seem to have the lowest prices.
