Coolant and power steering fluid

2007 Focus with 185,000 miles bought new in August 2006. At each 5,000 OCI, I pump out the overflow tank and fill it back with fresh coolant. Same with the power steering reservoir, with Mercon V. No problems so far. On other vehicles I have owned, the racks started leaking, but this one has been perfect. I figured that the coolant “rotation” keeps the system fairly fresh and clean. Seems to have worked so far, so I started following the same routine on my other vehicles. Since the newer ones have electric steering, leaves me with only two that I have to do the fluid swap.
 
I have done that with the coolant on my vehicles for decades. Does a great job of keeping the coolant "fresh", prevents engine corrosion from old coolant and also keeps the overflow container quite clean.
