I'll take a stab at it. I think that you're referring to high-temperature, silicone hose (usually green in color) used to channel air from the air pump to the catalytic converter.
For updated propane tank valves.

That's what I was thinking - but in black. And 3/4" and 1" sizes.
But heck if I can find it. We have 3/4" and 1" sizes of high-temperature, silicone hose - but it's blue. Customers want black....looking for a source.

Silicone hose handles heat better but I really doubt it will hold up to exhaust temps for very long.
I think the stuff used on the converter air pipe was nomex reinforced.
