Funny how watches/clocks don't get sprayed with lube once in a while. At least the ones I've seen. Maybe they'd last longer. For example, I guess a Breitling will run forever with opening up the back and spraying in some PTFE lube spray.

Lubing a watch involves about 10 different lubes and a lot of time.
Have you seen the price of some of the watch lubes? Its a real shocker.

So my barbaric idea to open up the back and let loose a nasty barrage of teflon-doped penetrating oil is not the way to go?
