This oil just like the Carlube Triple R did not see prolonged high speed running. This Conoco oil is the AP Region formulation.

Comments please.

That I know. This high Si number has been troubling me since I got the car. I'll be inspecting the intake system. Something is worng somewhere.

I guess it is not just the airfilter element. I got to change the brand of my fuel. Going on the hunch that fuel additives are used, I took out my plugs in an attemt to read them. A red-brown deposit is seen in all of them indicative of fuel additives used. I got to change the brand of the fuel I'm using.

I am also puzzled why I get high silicon in mine. Could it be the Caltex Vortex Platinum? I dont know. What fuel are you using? I have noticed that virtually ALL the Singapore UOAs on this site have double digit silicon. Could it be that the air is just bad here? I change my air filter at 10,000km intervals bcos they are totally black by then.

Looks like some of the metal wears are higher for this 30wt oil, than for the RP 20wt oil...

Oh yeah.. would reckon that has to do with the mileage on the oil also eh?
